How is FD Interest Calculated?
The interest on FDs is usually compounded quarterly. The formula used is: A = P * (1 + r/n)^(n*t), where:
- A = Maturity Amount
- P = Principal Amount
- r = Rate of Interest
- n = Compounding Frequency (Standard is 4 for quarterly)
- t = Tenure in years
